Job summary

SNIPES USA in Louisville, KY is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead store operations in the Store Manager's absence. This full-time hourly role requires leadership, strong customer focus, and store-wide accountability to drive sales and presentation.

You'll manage staff, execute promotions, ensure merchandising standards, and protect assets while delivering excellent service. Prior retail leadership and a 18+ age requirement are essential; a college degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2+ years’ experience in retail leadership as an Assistant Manager or department lead.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.
• Respond to store alarm problems as needed.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong drive to achieve results and take initiative.
• Must stand for long periods and lift 15–30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to maintain store cleanliness on sales floor and stockroom.
• Set up sales/promotions with proper signing promptly.
• Process register functions following store procedures.
• Follow floor set guides and promotions timely.
• Maintain merchandise presentation per Visual Merchandising standards.
• Understand customer merchandise needs and availability.
• Coordinate markdowns and transfers with the Store Manager.
• Demonstrate leadership to drive sales and profitability.
• Communicate store goals and directives to the team.
• Monitor performance: sales volume, hourly production, units per transaction, shrink.
• Train associates in register and Aptos functions.
• Ensure safeguarding of Company funds per policy.
