Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Riverwalk location is seeking a dual-role Manager to run the Scoop Shop daily and actively support the catering business across New Jersey and potentially Florida and CT. You will lead the shop floor, drive guest satisfaction, and help execute flawless off-site events with a strong emphasis on teamwork and a hands-on approach.

The role requires 2+ years in management with a passion for ice cream, strong leadership, and willingness to work nights, weekends, and select holidays.

Riverwalk Scoop Shop Manager & Catering Assistant Operations Manager

As Shop Manager, You Will

• Set the tone -- your energy, your smile, and your sense of urgency are contagious and your team will follow your lead
• Create an environment where every customer leaves happier than when they walked in
• Keep a sharp eye on labor, cost of goods, and daily operations -- the numbers matter as much as the vibe
• Drive sales up and costs down without losing the fun

• Bring at least 2 years of retail food experience and a genuine understanding of small business operations

As Catering Assistant Operations Manager, You Will

• Support the overall success of our catering operation based out of Riverwalk, with reach into New Jersey and potentially Florida and CT
• Bring fresh, creative ideas to help grow the catering side of the business
• Help implement and manage catering operations under the Chief Administrator & Catering Manager -- including planning, logistics, equipment, marketing, and customer satisfaction
• Ensure all systems align with franchise standards (Square, Salesforce, etc.)
• Support proper training of catering staff -- daily operations, customer relations, cleanliness, and staff orientation
• Show up for events: prep before and after, ensure operational excellence on-site, and motivate the crew
• Maintain presentation standards, portion control, and proper serving temperatures at every event
• Help build a motivated team culture where growth and advancement are real possibilities
• Be comfortable working outdoors and able to lift, carry, and move approximately 25 lbs
