Job summary

Ben & Jerry's Connecticut is hiring Riverwalk Scoop Shop Manager & Catering Assistant Operations Manager in Rhode Island. The role combines shop leadership with supporting off-site catering growth, balancing front-of-house excellence with back-end operations.

You'll supervise daily shop activities, drive sales and efficiency, and help scale catering across Riverwalk, NJ, possibly FL and CT, while maintaining safety, guest joy, and a people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Shop Manager: Uphold food safety standards, POS accuracy, and cash handling.

Riverwalk Scoop Shop Manager & Catering Assistant Operations Manager

As Shop Manager, You Will

• Keep a sharp eye on labor, cost of goods, and daily operations -- the numbers matter as much as the vibe
• Drive sales up and costs down without losing the fun

• Be available for late nights (past 11pm), weekends, and select holidays -- this is a dessert business, and the best hours aren't 9-to-5
• Bring at least 2 years of retail food experience and a genuine understanding of small business operations

As Catering Assistant Operations Manager, You Will

• Support the overall success of our catering operation based out of Riverwalk, with reach into New Jersey and potentially Florida and CT
• Bring fresh, creative ideas to help grow the catering side of the business
• Help implement and manage catering operations under the Chief Administrator & Catering Manager -- including planning, logistics, equipment, marketing, and customer satisfaction
• Ensure all systems align with franchise standards (Square, Salesforce, etc.)
• Support proper training of catering staff -- daily operations, customer relations, cleanliness, and staff orientation
• Show up for events: prep before and after, ensure operational excellence on-site, and motivate the crew
• Maintain presentation standards, portion control, and proper serving temperatures at every event
• Help build a motivated team culture where growth and advancement are real possibilities
• Be comfortable working outdoors and able to lift, carry, and move approximately 25 lbs
