Job summary

DAn Solutions is seeking a storage and backup specialist to join on-site teams supporting government-grade storage platforms. The role centers on design, testing, and deployment of storage and backup solutions across on-premises and lab environments.

You will collaborate with storage vendors and cloud partners, perform security engineering for Storage/SAN, and provide advanced Tier 3/4 support while driving capacity planning and optimization to meet ATO requirements.

Qualifications

• Expertise with leading storage arrays and backup technologies.
• SAN administration across full lifecycle incl. capacity planning.
• Experience with VMware virtualization environments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement analysis, design, testing, and implementation of storage and backup solutions.
• Collaborate with Gov Tech Leads, vendors, and cloud providers to evaluate storage tech.
• Develop and maintain storage demonstration environments and test plans.

Overview

In this role, a typical day will include:

Responsibilities

• Participating in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation of next generation Storage and Backup systems, both on and off premise
• Collaborating with the Gov Technical Leads, storage vendors, and cloud providers to evaluate emerging storage technologies
• Developing and maintaining the storage demonstration environment in the designated test lab
• Develop and execute test plans for storage and backup solutions
• Performing root cause analysis for major issues and recommend improvements
• Providing storage upgrade recommendations and support system integration activities
• Providing Tier 3/4 support to storage and backup platforms
• Conducting system security engineering with a Storage/SAN focus
• Installing, monitoring, and optimizing storage solutions to achieve Authorize to Operate (ATO)

Qualifications

• Expertise with NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cohesity, Rubrik, NetBackup, or hyper‑converged solutions (VxRail, Nutanix)
• Full life‑cycle SAN administration experience, including utilization analysis and capacity planning
• Experience with virtual environment such as VMWare
• Proficiency with Windows and RedHat administration
• Familiarity with Cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, or Oracle)
• Broad understanding across technology towers i.e.: Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery
