Job summary

DAn Solutions, Inc is seeking a storage-focused engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance and CI poly to design, implement, and support next-generation storage and backup systems on-site in Maryland.

You will work with Gov Tech Leads, vendors, and cloud providers, develop test labs, run test plans, and perform incident root-cause analysis to improve storage platforms and ensure compliance and ATO readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cohesity, Rubrik, NetBackup).
• Full life‑cycle SAN administration with capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation of storage and backup systems.
• Collaborate with Gov Tech Leads, storage vendors, and cloud providers to evaluate storage technologies.
• Develop and maintain the storage demonstration environment in the test lab.
• Develop and execute test plans for storage and backup solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements.
• Provide storage upgrade recommendations and system integration support.
• Provide Tier 3/4 storage/backup support.
• Conduct system security engineering with a Storage/SAN focus.
• Install, monitor, and optimize storage solutions to achieve ATO.

Job Description

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Participating in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and implementation of next generation Storage and Backup systems, both on and off premise
• Collaborating with the Gov Technical Leads, storage vendors, and cloud providers to evaluate emerging storage technologies
• Developing and maintaining the storage demonstration environment in the designated test lab
• Develop and execute test plans for storage and backup solutions
• Performing root cause analysis for major issues and recommend improvements
• Providing storage upgrade recommendations and support system integration activities
• Providing Tier 3/4 support to storage and backup platforms
• Conducting system security engineering with a Storage/SAN focus
• Installing, monitoring, and optimizing storage solutions to achieve Authorize to Operate (ATO)

What you'll need:

• Expertise with NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cohesity, Rubrik, NetBackup, or hyper‑converged solutions (VxRail, Nutanix)
• Full life‑cycle SAN administration experience, including utilization analysis and capacity planning
• Experience with virtual environment such as VMWare
• Proficiency with Windows and RedHat administration
• Familiarity with Cloud storage solutions (AWS, Azure, or Oracle)
• Broad understanding across technology towers i.e.: Storage, Virtualization, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery
