Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field and a minimum of 5 years IT technology experience and 3 years IT management experience
• Knowledge of storage system technology for block, file, and object storage
• Knowledge of SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and related storage networking technologies
• Knowledge of Data Recovery related technologies
• Proven experience in IT strategic planning, project management, and policy development in a dynamic environment
• Exposure to systems design and development from business requirements to day-to-day management
• Proficient knowledge of IT architecture, security principles, and governance

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for day-to-day activities and strategic direction
• Collaborate with Global IT & Security leaders to align initiatives with Garmin’s roadmaps
• Collaborate with Global IT & Security leaders to deliver critical IT & Security applications and technologies
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders across departments to meet requirements
• Research and recommend new technologies and processes to improve productivity
• Plan and schedule work, including resource allocation
• Lead planning to leverage IT & Security analytics and portfolios for decision support
• Ensure security best practices are incorporated into deployed applications and systems
• Manage software assets per Garmin’s policies and procedures
• Develop and maintain high performing teams through recruitment, coaching, and performance management
