Job summary

PODS is seeking a Storage Center Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of a storage center within the Savannah, GA territory. You will direct day-to-day activities of centers and associates, ensure customer satisfaction, and manage routing and driver assignments.

You will maintain OSHA/DOT programs and preventative maintenance, reporting to the Territory Manager and coordinating with HR. Strong leadership, compliance, and hands-on coaching are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree preferred or a minimum of 1 years of prior management experience.
• Ability to apply and successfully attain CDL Class B License or higher is preferred.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license from the state in which position is assigned.
• Must be able to obtain PODS forklift certification.
• Possession of a valid DOT medical card is preferred.
• Mechanical ability essential to identify problems with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of storage centers and associates within territory.
• Meet customers’ expectations and manage routing and driver assignments.
• Maintain OSHA, DOT and preventative maintenance programs for the storage center and driver equipment.
• Report employee issues to Territory Manager and Regional HRBP; communicate with HR for personnel matters.
• Provide regular communication to team members on goals, results, and areas for improvement.
• Ensure daily pre-shift meetings are conducted at each Storage Center.
• Manage all corporate owned assets (trucks, forklifts, containers) within territory.
