Job summary

Ross Stores in Asheville, NC is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and supervise Associates as part of Store Leadership. You will open and close the store, maintain great merchandising, and ensure daily operations run smoothly.

You will enforce safety, loss prevention, and customer service standards, train front-end staff, and help manage stockrooms and applying company best practices. This role requires a strong team player with solid communication and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and a clean, well-organized store.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage Front End operations, train cashiers, and ensure efficient checkout flow.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and compliant store procedures.
• Oversee stockrooms, back stock, and merchandising in the department.
