Job summary

Five Below is hiring for a Customer Service Associate in a fast-paced retail environment in New York. You will greet customers, answer questions, and help them find products while promoting current promotions.

The role requires a friendly, helpful demeanor with strong communication skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and possibly evenings. Training on POS systems will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (POS, registers, handheld devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions professionally and courteously.
• Able to gather and use information to solve problems.
• Willing to learn procedures via on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly and acknowledge them.
• Understand and meet customer needs with product knowledge and recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on stock.
• Promote store events and promotions to drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns and turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management about restocking and customer feedback.
• Support team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
