Episcopal Retirement Services is seeking a STNA/Resident Assistant in Cincinnati, OH to deliver person-centered care in a supportive, aging-population-focused environment. The role involves direct resident care, ensuring safety, and assisting with daily activities in a long-term care setting.

Ideal candidates have an Ohio State tested nurse aide certification and prior dementia care experience, with a strong commitment to teamwork and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio State tested nurse aide certification is required.
• Ability to lift/move 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to relate to aging population and provide people-centered care.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must maintain attendance per company policy.
• Demonstrate harmonious interaction with all peoples.
• Knowledge of age-specific interventions is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide People Centered care including grooming, bathing, feeding and activities.
• Answer call lights within 60 seconds, verbally or in person.
• Maintain resident function using restorative devices/programs as ordered.
• Keep living areas clean, safe and clutter-free.
• Follow infection control policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Review and update resident care plans.
• Update computerized medical records with resident information in a timely manner.
• Notify charge/care team nurse of changes in resident condition or concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aid certification.
• Have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally.

As anSTNA/Resident Assistantyou can expectto:

• STNA provides People Centered care to residents including but not limited to: grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and all other matters of individualized care.
• STNA answers call lights, verbally or in person within 60 seconds.
• STNA maintains resident functional abilities at optimum level by using the restorative devises and programs as ordered.
• STNA maintains a clean, safe and inviting living environment for residents by keeping rooms, dining areas, halls and other common areas free of clutter, soiled items, debris and odor.
• STNA follows facility policies and procedures for infection control by practicing standard precautions and following OSHA guidelines for handling blood and other potentially infectious materials.
• STNA reads, understands, implements and evaluates the residents current Plan of Care.
• STNA using our computerized medical records systems, updates all resident-related information and completes other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
• STNA ensures that the charge/care team nurse is notified in a timely manner of changes in resident condition family and or resident concerns, malfunctioning equipment, material shortages, and other pertinent observations.

The ideal STNA / Resident Assistant candidate will have experience caring for residents with dementia and working in long-term care. Under direct supervision and working in a team environment this position provides for the daily personal physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs, activities of daily living and comfort of our residents in accordance with our established policies, procedures, and team standards.
