Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community, part of Episcopal Retirement Services, is seeking a STNA / Resident Assistant for the 7p-7a shift in Cincinnati, OH.

Join a team focused on People Centered care, addressing daily living activities and comfort for residents. The ideal candidate will hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aide certification and be able to support residents with dementia in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aide certification.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to relate to and work with the aging population in people-centered care.
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide People Centered care including grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and related tasks.
• Answer call lights promptly within 60 seconds.
• Maintain resident functional abilities using restorative programs.
• Keep living areas clean, safe and inviting; avoid clutter and odors.
• Follow infection control policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Document Plan of Care and update resident information in the medical records system.
• Notify charge nurse and team of changes in condition, concerns, or equipment shortages.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aid certification.
• Have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally.

As anSTNA/Resident Assistantyou can expectto:

• STNA provides People Centered care to residents including but not limited to: grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and all other matters of individualized care.
• STNA answers call lights, verbally or in person within 60 seconds.
• STNA maintains resident functional abilities at optimum level by using the restorative devises and programs as ordered.
• STNA maintains a clean, safe and inviting living environment for residents by keeping rooms, dining areas, halls and other common areas free of clutter, soiled items, debris and odor.
• STNA follows facility policies and procedures for infection control by practicing standard precautions and following OSHA guidelines for handling blood and other potentially infectious materials.
• STNA reads, understands, implements and evaluates the residents current Plan of Care.
• STNA using our computerized medical records systems, updates all resident-related information and completes other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
• STNA ensures that the charge/care team nurse is notified in a timely manner of changes in resident condition family and or resident concerns, malfunctioning equipment, material shortages, and other pertinent observations.
