Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) for our skilled nursing facility in Ohio.

The STNA provides for residents' personal care needs and participates in activities delegated by the nurse, ensuring safety, dignity, and compassionate support. We offer a welcoming environment with low resident-to-staff ratios, development training, career advancement opportunities, and community involvement events.

Qualifications

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Full time/Part Time positions must be able to work weekend/holiday rotation.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the personal care needs of residents as delegated by the nurse.
• Assist residents with activities and daily care tasks as directed by nursing staff.

Afternoon Shift - 3pm-11:30pm every other weekend, every other holiday 8 hours per week

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA (State Tested Nurse Assistant) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements:

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA certification).
• High school education or equivalent
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Full time/Part Time positions must be ablet to work weekend/holiday rotation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
