Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) for 3pm-11:30pm shifts, every other weekend, at our Fairlawn, OH location.

This skilled nursing facility offers a supportive team, low resident-to-staff ratio, and a mission-driven, not-for-profit environment. You will provide personal care, assist the nurse, and participate in activities delegated by the nurse; requirements include STNA certification, high school diploma, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up

Qualifications

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Infection control accuracy and professional communication required.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA (State Tested Nurse Assistant) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements:

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA certification).
• High school education or equivalent
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
