Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is hiring a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to provide personal care and support to residents in a compassionate, Christ-centered SNF environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, following nurse directions, and ensuring infection control standards are met. Weekend/holiday rotation is required for full-time or part-time positions, with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) preferred.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Pre-employment physical is required.
• Full-time or part-time with weekend/holiday rotation.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
• Strong communication and empathy with residents and families.

Afternoon Shift - 3pm-11:30pm every other weekend, every other holiday 8 hours per week

SUMMARY OF POSITION

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA (State Tested Nurse Assistant) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA certification).
• High school education or equivalent
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Full time/Part Time positions must be ablet to work weekend/holiday rotation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
