Job summary

Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) seeks a highly analytical STIP Manager to safeguard the integrity of Utah’s STIP/TIP systems while directing the Program Finance division. You’ll lead a six-person team, run scenario analyses, and coordinate with FHWA and MPOs to ensure timely, compliant funding decisions.

The role requires mastery of data governance, regulatory knowledge, and executive communication to brief department leadership and stakeholders on multi-million-dollar transportation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance Management, Accounting, or a closely related field; six to eight years of related experience.
• Experience managing complex transportation funding and program data.
• Ability to present decision-ready briefings to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage statewide STIP data governance and ensure data integrity across project cycles.
• Lead the Program Finance team of six, overseeing funding requests and scenario analyses.
• Coordinate with MPOs, executives, and FHWA to align funding and approvals.
