Senior Vice President - Head of Heavy Civil/T&D/Federal Construction at LVI Associates

About the Opportunity:
We are currently partnering with a highly respected general contractor in Utah to identify an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead key infrastructure projects in collaboration with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). This is a high-impact role for a professional who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about building the future of Utah's transportation network.

Role Overview:
As the Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of UDOT-funded projects-from pre-construction planning through final delivery. You'll serve as the primary liaison between the contractor, UDOT officials, subcontractors, and field teams, ensuring projects meet all technical, safety, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of UDOT infrastructure projects, including highways, bridges, and transit-related construction.
  • Coordinate with UDOT Resident Engineers and inspectors to ensure compliance with agency standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, procurement, and field execution.
  • Monitor safety performance and enforce site safety protocols.
  • Resolve field issues and change orders efficiently and professionally.
  • Represent the contractor in stakeholder meetings and public forums when required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 5+ years in construction project management, preferably with DOT or heavy civil projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, HCSS).
  • Certifications: OSHA 30 preferred; PMP or CCM a plus.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with UDOT specifications, standards, and project delivery methods.
  • Other: Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across Utah.
