Job summary

Toole's Ace Hardware in Central Florida is seeking a skilled Stihl Technician to diagnose and repair a wide variety of outdoor power equipment while delivering friendly customer service. You will be the go-to person in-store for power equipment questions and for promoting the Stihl line.

This full-time role requires ongoing technical training and a commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship, with benefits including health coverage, PTO, and retirement plan matching.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and determine repairs for STIHL power equipment.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble components and machines.
• Performs all service tasks.
• Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) to be entered into our computer system.
• Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation.
• Participates in all training programs.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Brings to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.

Job description

We are seeking skilled mechanics/technicians proficient in the diagnosing and repair of a wide variety of outdoor power equipment as well as a friendly demeanor for talking to customers. A Stihl Technician is responsible for the overall success of the Stihl and outdoor power equipment department. They are the key point-of-contact in the store to establish and promote relationships with Stihl customers, as well as being the go-to person in the store for all questions regarding power equipment. This is a position that will require continual technical training and growth.
