Ace Hardware St. Clair in Saint Clair, Michigan is seeking a dedicated Stihl Technician to join our local team. You will repair and service chainsaws, blowers, and trimmers, ensuring equipment runs flawlessly for our customers.

We value hands-on work, clear communication, and a supportive environment where growth is encouraged. A valid driver's license and Stihl certification are preferred, and physical ability to lift heavy equipment is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience repairing small engines, specifically Stihl outdoor power equipment.
• Solid understanding of two‑cycle and four‑cycle engine mechanics.
• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues independently.
• Stihl Bronze or Silver certification is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, and other Stihl equipment.
• Clearly explain repair needs, costs, and timelines to our customers with kindness and clarity.
• Maintain an organized and safe workspace to ensure efficient turnaround times for service orders.
• Keep our service records up to date, documenting parts used and work performed on each unit.
• Help our sales staff identify the correct replacement parts by utilizing technical manuals and digital resources.
• Provide occasional guidance to newer staff members on equipment troubleshooting techniques.
