Job summary

The Systems Group is seeking a Stick Pipe Welder for the SDI Shutdown – Sinton, TX site. The role offers $32/hour with a $120/day per diem and a 4/12 shift pattern for a 5-day duration. Join a team focused on engineered solutions for a safer, more productive steel industry.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies.
• Weld components such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and tubes as specified by diagrams or instructions.
• Plan installations to avoid obstructions and minimize disruption to others.
• Secure pipes to structures using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

Location: SDI Shutdown – Sinton, TX

Pay Rate: $32/ Hour + $120/Day Per Diem

Hours: 4/12’s Duration of 5 Days

The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Stick Welding teammate. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Stick Pipe Welder Job Responsibilities:

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly


• Weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and tube or structural shapes, as specified by layout, blueprints, diagram, work order, welding procedures, or oral instructions, using electric arc-welding equipment


• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and avoid interfering with the activities of other workers


• Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools


• Weld in any direction – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions

Experience and Requirements:

• Pipe Welding experience in an industrial setting is preferred


• OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided)


• Must be able to weld and pass qualification test coupons during the pre-employment test
