Job summary

Acadiana CARES is seeking candidates for the position of STI Surveillance Data Manager to oversee data management activities for the Louisiana Office of Public Health STI/HIV/Hepatitis Surveillance program.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field, strong data management abilities, and experience with MS Office. Preferred experience with public health data, EHRs, and statistical software, along with excellent communication skills and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Strong data management and analytical skills are essential.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and strong written and verbal skills are required.
• Preferred: experience with public health data or electronic health records, SAS/STATA/R or other statistical software.
• Ability to work with people of diverse lifestyles is required.
• Experience in STI service, STI prevention, healthcare, mental health, or substance abuse rehabilitation is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the STD/HIV /Hepatitis Program Security and Confidentiality Policy and HIPAA privacy rules.
• Maintain the quality of STI surveillance data.
• Engage in and reimagine quality assurance protocols for STI surveillance data.
• Assist with the production of automated reports.
• Process labs and STI cases; upload and enter data and complete missing information.
• Assist with analysis and data requests on behalf of internal and external stakeholders.

Duties:

• Adhere to the STD/HIV /Hepatitis Program Security and Confidentiality Policy and to HIP AA privacy rules.
• Maintain the quality of STI surveillance data.
• Engage in, and reimagine quality assurance protocols for STI surveillance data.
• Assist with the production of automated reports.
• Process labs and STI cases
• upload and enter data and complete missing information
• Assist with analysis and data requests on behalf of internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree and experience in Public Health or related field.
• Strong data management and analytical skills.
• Experience with MS Office Suite, as well as strong written and verbal skills.
• Preferred: Experience in the Public Health, or related field with professional experience working with public health data or electronic health records, SAS/STATA/R (or other statistical software) is preferred.
