Job summary

The GEO Group in North Carolina is seeking a Security Threat Group (STG) Investigator to support investigations and intelligence gathering related to gangs and security threat groups at our facility. You will assist in providing intelligence to the contracting agency and facility management as required.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of security experience in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• Must possess a working knowledge of correctional program objectives, applicable court orders and laws.

Responsibilities

• The STG Investigator collects intelligence and information on suspected security threat groups at the facility and supports the facility response.
• Identifies and tracks suspected and actual gang activities; furnishes information to the contracting agency as required.
• Monitors detainee telephone calls in accordance with policies.
• Assists in developing policies and procedures for custody, security, and treatment related to investigations and gang activity.
• Responds to major incidents as trained and prepares records and reports as required.
