Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Security Threat Group (STG) Coordinator to supervise the STG program at a secure facility. The role involves identifying potential threats, directing staff, and maintaining intelligence documentation to support staff and law enforcement partners.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years in criminal justice, and 1 year of corrections experience with supervisory duties preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of experience in a criminal justice field is required.
• One year of corrections experience, including the care and custody of inmates/offenders is required.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Additional education may substitute for experience; no substitution for corrections experience.
• Experience with investigative processes and interviewing techniques is preferred.
• Specific contracts may require training and certification and the ability to carry firearms or chemical agents.
• Experience with video/audio surveillance equipment is preferred.
• General correctional rules and regulations knowledge is desirable.
• Microsoft Office or similar software experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce zero-tolerance for STG activity and maintain facility safety.
• Manage work assignments and direct staff per policy and procedure.
• Oversee the STG electronic database and disseminate intelligence information.
• Review daily roster of STG members and monitor activity of validated members and suspects.
• Conduct investigations of STG-related incidents, gather information, interview witnesses, and share intelligence.
