Job summary

Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown in Houston, TX is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding operations and lead the stewarding team across back-of-house areas. You will ensure cleanliness, proper sanitation, and smooth equipment handling in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires prior stewarding or dishwashing experience with supervisory skills. A Food Handler Certification is required, and English/Spanish bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in stewarding, kitchen sanitation, or dishwashing.
• Previous supervision or team-lead experience.
• Hotel/resort or high-volume food service background preferred.
• Food Handler Certification at hire or per local rules.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily stewarding operations across back-of-house areas.
• Supervise and coach the stewarding team.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and equipment care.
• Support onboarding, training, and performance coaching.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt standards, health, sanitation, safety rules.
• Manage waste handling and chemical storage.
• Monitor inventory of stewarding supplies and coordinate orders.
• Assist Culinary and F&B during high-volume periods and events.
• Lead deep-cleaning and sanitation improvement projects.
• Foster a safe, positive work environment aligned with Hyatt values.
