Job summary

Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding operations at Thompson Dallas. This role provides hands-on supervision of the stewarding team and ensures high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, organization, equipment care, and operational support in back‑of‑house areas.

You will collaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage leadership to maintain safe, efficient operations while promoting Hyatt values.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding, kitchen sanitation, or dishwashing experience required.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Hotel, resort, upscale restaurant, or high-volume food service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards, food safety practices, and safe chemical handling required.
• Food Handler Certification required at hire or per local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and support the stewarding team across all kitchens and outlets.
• Oversee daily dishwashing and sanitation operations, ensuring timely cleaning of equipment and service items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout kitchens, dish rooms, and back-of-house spaces.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and colleague development.
• Monitor compliance with Hyatt standards and health, sanitation, safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory of stewarding supplies and communicate needs to the Executive Chef.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Support Culinary and Food & Beverage teams during high-volume periods and events.
