Job summary

Proof Of The Pudding is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to lead the stewarding team in a fast-paced kitchen and event environment. This role focuses on organizing, washing, and properly storing products and equipment, while supporting kitchen and event production with efficient product flow and sanitation standards.

You will manage deliveries, inventory, and cleaning schedules and report to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related field and 3+ years of staffing experience.
  • Preferred Food & Beverage/Banquets/Hospitality experience.
  • Must live near Atlanta, GA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, written and verbal communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support stewarding team in organizing, washing, and storing products and equipment.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking product, and verifying orders.
  • Ensure proper FIFO/LIFO rotation when storing product.
  • Oversee general kitchen maintenance, including trash removal and daily closeout tasks.
  • Manage chemical inventory, usage, and ordering for compliance and availability.
  • Monitor staff attendance, engagement, and task performance throughout the shift.
  • Assign, direct, and supervise daily stewarding tasks and special projects.
  • Coordinate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, including deep-cleaning assignments.
  • Ensure reusable food products are returned to the kitchen for proper handling and utilization.

The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily stewarding operations to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient back-of-house environment. This role supports kitchen and event production by managing product flow, maintaining sanitation standards, and directing stewarding staff to meet operational and event-driven needs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and support the stewarding team in organizing, washing, and properly storing all products and equipmentAssist with receiving deliveries, stocking product, and verifying orders for accuracy,substitutions, or missing itemsEnsure proper FIFO/LIFO rotation practices are followed when storing productOversee general kitchen maintenance, including trash removal, product retrieval, and completion of daily closeout tasksManage chemical inventory, usage, and ordering to maintain compliance and availabilityMonitor staff attendance, engagement, and task performance throughout the shiftAssign, direct, and supervise daily stewarding tasks and special projects, ensuring timely and accurate completionCoordinate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, including deep-cleaning assignmentsEnsure reusable food products are returned to the kitchen for proper handling and utilizationMaintain a safe, organized, and efficient stewarding operation that supports both production andevent culinary teamsEquipment Maintenance: Responsible for ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintainedand cleaned, including speed racks, ovens, stoves, and hot boxes. Oversees detailed cleaningprocedures and upholds sanitation standards.
