Job summary

Bally’s Corporation is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee daily stewarding tasks, coordinate with kitchen and banquet teams, and manage equipment needs for large events. You will supervise a team, ensure sanitation, inventory control, and safe operation of dishwashing systems.

The role requires at least two years of supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant, strong English skills, and solid leadership and customer-service abilities. Weekend and night shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of supervisory experience preferred in large, high-volume restaurant.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Must possess good math skills.
• Must possess computer proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess good customer service and leadership skills.
• Must be able to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• Must present an overall professional appearance.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as scheduled.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily tasks of all stewarding employees.
• Coordinates daily with the chefs concerning kitchen cleaning and cleaning projects, walk-in boxes, hoods, etc., and coordinates with the Banquet Manager concerning equipment needs for large catering functions.
• Coordinates and directs all work assignments in the Stewarding Department to ensure organization, sanitation, inventory and control of all china, glassware, and silverware items.
• Ensures that all dishwashing machinery is operated per manufacturers instructions, cleaned daily, and serviced periodically.
• Controls payroll through scheduling and adjusts schedules for absences as required.
• Interviews, selects, hires, and retains superior employees.
• Completes timely evaluations for subordinates.
• Conducts formal and informal training for subordinates.
• Conducts coaching and counseling with subordinates.
• Rewards and recognizes superior performers.
• Ensures employees work safely and follow safety rules.
• May participate in daily service operation.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Target Starting Hourly Rate

• $16.00/hr
