Job summary

Bally's Corporation in East St. Louis, IL is hiring for a stewarding role. You will support kitchen operations, perform deep cleaning, maintain equipment, and ensure health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include regular team participation, maintaining sanitation, and standing 50 lbs lift tolerance; weekend/evening shifts required. Requires Food Handler Certification, HS diploma, and ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• 1 year stewarding experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Handler Certification, required
• High School Diploma/GED, required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Hep A vaccination on, or before, first day of work
• Must be able to work Weekends, Nights and Holidays
• Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written

• Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings.
• Properly deep cleans and maintains kitchen equipment to ensure longevity and desired results are achieved.
• Sweep, mop, buff scrub kitchen floors as needed.
• Strong organizational skill, works clean, and in a safe and sanitary manner at all times.
• Ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment.
• Must abide by all health department rules/regulations. Understands time and temperature controls and has a working knowledge of food safety.
• Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
• Sets and keeps workstation and the surrounding areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment & Physical Efforts

• The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
• This position will primarily be indoor under controlled temperatures.
• Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
• Frequent: standing, walking, with repetitive movement of fingers, legs, arms, and hands
• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Speech and Vision abilities are required

Target Salary Rate: $15.50 per hour
