Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations. Responsibilities include washing all wares, operating dishwashing equipment, stocking/organizing storage areas, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. The role may involve occasional food prep during staffing shortages or peak periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous stewarding experience required or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Operate dishwashing and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, cupboards, or refrigerators.
• Sweep and wash floors and clean trash cans.
• Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas.
• Perform food preparation functions during shortages or peak periods.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work to improve them.
• Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
