Job Description

The Kitchen Steward (dishwasher) is responsible for tasks assigned by the Steward Assistant, Executive Steward, Chef De Cuisine, and Sous Chef. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the work station, coordinating materials and equipment, and communicating issues to management.

(These functions are illustrative and not all-inclusive.)

• Maintain sanitation levels.
• Perform physical activities including standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead.
• Understand product labeling for safe chemical use.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Ensure cleanliness of floors, walls, dishes, pots, etc.
• Use safety markers such as “Wet Floor” signs.
• Ensure proper equipment and safety gear are used by kitchen staff.
• Verify all equipment functions properly.
• Conduct oneself professionally.
• Assist in safety training for kitchen staff.
• Train staff on chemical safety and proper usage.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards per company and health department guidelines.
• Ability to lift/move items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of kitchen cleaning experience.
• Flexible to work any day or shift.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to complete Serve Safe training.
• Possession of or ability to obtain valid driver’s and gaming licenses.
• Successful background check and drug screening.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Deliver excellent guest service in Boyd Style.
