Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Steward to join our Cambridge, MA kitchen team. You will operate the dish machine, clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and support the culinary staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes safety, hygiene, and teamwork, with opportunities to grow within a dynamic hospitality group serving guests across multiple properties.

• Maintain sanitation standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Support culinary team in daily kitchen duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machine, clean and sanitize pots and pans, china, glassware, flatware, kitchen equipment, and other utensils.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Sweep and mop all kitchen floors and other assigned areas.
• Collect and empty trash from designated areas into the hotel dumpster.
• Service food for the Employee Cafeteria as specified by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
• Store all clean china, glass, and silver to its proper storage location using care to minimize breakage.
• Adhere to established safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties or projects as requested by management.

The Steward works with the culinary team to clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, the kitchen and other kitchen equipment, in accordance with time, product and placement standards to ensure total guest satisfaction.

Anticipated Pay Range & Additional Job Information

\$24 to \$26 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
