Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is seeking a Steward - On-Call to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. You will clean and sanitize dishware, maintain kitchen equipment, and support daily operations to deliver the highest guest service standards.

The role requires a high school education, prior stewarding experience, and a positive, energetic demeanor. U.S. work authorization is required for this position; on-site work in Seattle is expected.

Qualifications

High school education is preferred.
Prior stewarding experience is desirable.
On-the-job knowledge is useful for daily tasks.
Ability to operate and clean dishwashing equipment and related tools.
A positive and energetic demeanor is valued.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize dishware, load/unload and store in the dishwashing area.
Clean ovens, kettles, mixers and kitchen surfaces and keep floors and drains tidy.
Clean pots, pans, and utensils with correct solutions.
Set up, operate, and maintain the silver burnisher and related equipment.
Store cleaning chemicals safely and organize work assignments and training needs.

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is looking for stewards who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate service experience. Our Stewards are a part of a dynamic team that supports all our Food and Beverage outlets in providing award-winning service. This position reports to the Assistant Stewarding Manager. U.S. work authorization is required for this position.

Key Elements of the Job

Clean and sanitize China, glass, and silver using the dishwashing machine, load and unload dishware and flatware from dishwashing machine and store properly.
Clean and sanitize all ovens, steam kettles, mixers and other kitchen equipment as well as all kitchen drains, sinks, floors, and walls; clean, dust, seep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff kitchen and pastry shop production areas and hallways.
Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using the correct cleaning and rinsing solutions.
Safely set-up, clean, and utilize the silver burnishing machine to clean, polish, sort, and transport silver following a daily or weekly schedule; place damaged or excessively worn pieces in a designated area for repair.
Safely utilize and store all cleaning compounds, chemicals, and materials including soaking solution utilizing the correct protective clothing.
Organize work assignments, make recommendations in regard to training, performance evaluations, and discipline for stewards.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

High school education
Previous experience in Stewarding.
Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
Ability to operate, maintain and properly clean dishwashing machine, sinks, floor cleaning equipment, and silver burnisher
A positive and energetic demeanor
