Job summary

Hard Rock Casino Tejon is seeking a Steward to manage cleaning operations and ensure the restaurant areas are supplied with clean dishes and silverware. You will help maintain inventory, oversee equipment care, and coordinate with the Executive Chef and F&B leadership.

Successful candidates will have at least one year in a Steward’s role, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced casino kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year progressive experience in the Stewards’ Department.
• Ability to follow department objectives and standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills and discretion with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains department objectives, standards, and guidelines to ensure proper operation of department.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all non-food items within the Food & Beverage Department, ensuring adequate par levels of inventory.
• Inspects equipment and ensures all equipment is in working order and up to safety and cleanliness standards; authorizes replacement parts for equipment in the food departments.
• Maintains open lines of communications with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage.
• Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
• Performs work regularly and predictably.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces.
• Other duties as assigned
