Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts in Houston seeks an Assist Stewarding Supervisor to support the Food and Beverage outlets. You will help maintain dishware, coordinate cleaning duties, and ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 150–200 lbs with assistance, plus strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with kitchen and service staff. Benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain same to complement guest experience.
• Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds with/without accommodation.
• Ability to transport heavy objects through a crowded room with/without accommodation.
• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or push goods on a hand cart/truck up to 200lbs with/without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Adapt communication style to suit different audiences including supervisors and guests.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled ware for proper dish machine processing.
• Wash ware and replace in designated storage areas.
• Maintain high physical activity; stamina required.
• Keep dish machine clean and filled per hotel standards.
• Operate burnishing machine for proper silverware finish.
• De-tarnish and polish silverware to maintain appearance.
• Clean kettles and pots so cooks can perform their tasks.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
