Job summary

Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, is recruiting a Steward to join the team. The role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness of hotel china, silverware, and cookware with ability to lift and move moderate weights, in a fast-paced setting with frequent guest interaction.

Responsibilities include keeping the kitchen and dishwashing area clean, operating dishwashing equipment, adhering to sanitation guidelines, and assisting with stock and waste management.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift, push or pull about fifty pounds.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, polite, and courteous demeanor.
• Strong customer service and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.
• Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.
• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment.
• Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
• Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation.
• Dispose of waste per hotel and authority standards and follow recycling guidelines.
• Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.
• Carry out general cleaning including sweeping and mopping.
• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and equipment.
• Clean floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area.
