Stewards wash, sanitize, and properly store all cooking utensils, china, flatware, glassware, pots and other equipment. The position supports a clean, organized kitchen and storage areas and participates in a busy culinary environment.

Job description

Southern Hills Country Club has an immediate opening for a full-time Steward (Dishwasher) on our Culinary team. The position pays $15/hour. Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays.

Stewards wash, sanitize, and properly store all cooking utensils, china, flatware, glassware, pots and other various equipment. Stewards maintain organization and cleanliness of entire kitchen and storage areas.

The physical demands of the position include constant standing, frequent lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. The successful candidate must be able to wear personal protective equipment such as oven mitts, vinyl or latex gloves and non-slip shoes.

The work environment has moderate noise, exposure to common foodstuffs and exposure to a commercial kitchen environment (i.e. varied temperatures, varied humidity including steam, commercial ovens and other equipment and time flooring.)
