Job summary

A renowned hospitality venue in Sausalito is seeking a part-time kitchen support staff member to assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas. Responsibilities include cleaning dishes, maintaining equipment, and prepping food as directed by the Head Chef. Ideal candidates will be team-oriented, able to lift 30 lbs, and maintain a clean work environment. English proficiency and previous kitchen experience are preferred. Pay rate is $24.55 per hour.

Job description

Pay Rate: $24.55 per hour

This is a non-management position

This is a part time position

Responsibilities

• Arrange for all clean china, glass, silverware, and serving pieces needed as directed by the Head Chef and the Sous Chefs
• Maintain general cleanliness of all kitchen areas
• Removal of trash & recycling to the proper disposal area
• Sweep and mop the floors in the kitchen, dish station and room service area
• Assists in back dock organization and trash & waste receptacle treatment
• Steam cleans and/or hoses out all garbage and recycle cans
• Pressure washes all kitchen mats at the end of the evening shift
• Complies with all sanitation, food handling, and safety requirements
• Scrub pots and pans
• Clean the outside docks, kitchen entry, and downstairs in the break area
• Clean kitchen equipment including the stoves and hoods
• Maintain the detergent in the dishwashing machine
• Fill soap and hand towel dispensers daily
• Prep food for the kitchen as needed
