Canopy by Hilton New Orleans Downtown is seeking a part-time Steward to maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dishes, glassware, and utensils, contributing to a high standard of dining excellence.

Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming guest experience in a thriving hotel setting, with advancement opportunities through the Management Development Program.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience required.
• Must be able to work a part time morning schedule.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexible work schedule for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Maintain department cleanliness and organization, adhere to safe work and equipment practices, and follow all food safety, health and sanitation standards.
• Inventory management when needed.
