Job summary

The Casino at Dania Beach is seeking a Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. You will thoroughly clean ovens, sinks, freezers, and equipment, sanitize ware, and maintain storage areas to ensure a hygienic environment.

You will work with the kitchen staff to keep the dining areas guest-ready and support the Chef with daily duties. The role requires strong time management, teamwork, and food knowledge, with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Strong Food and Beverage product knowledge.
• Strong time management and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members is important.
• Will be required to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, including FBI background check.
• Must pass drug testing per the Drug Free Workplace Policy and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean all kitchen ovens, sinks, freezers, coolers, griddles, and other restaurant equipment and sanitize ware.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas (main freezer and cooler).
• Clean, transport, and store pots and pans used in food and beverage operation.
• Operate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment efficiently and timely.
• Prioritize safety and follow safety guidelines and MSDS for chemicals.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and walls to ensure a welcoming dining experience.
• Assist in maintaining highest cleanliness standards in food and beverage areas.
• Assist in other duties in the kitchen under the Chef's supervision.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Maintain knowledge of the MSDS book for safe handling of chemicals and materials.
• Ensure that all trash cans are changed on a regular basis to maintain a clean environment.
• Wipe down tables, chairs, and walls to ensure a welcoming dining experience for our guests.
• Assist in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all food and beverage areas, following all safety guidelines and organizational policies.
• Assist in any other duties in the kitchen under the supervision of the Chef.
• All other duties as assigned.
