Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast in Bay St. Louis, MS is seeking a Steward to maintain back-of-house areas, support kitchen operations, and ensure cleanliness and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, with strong communication and OSHA knowledge. This position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to ServSafe guidelines, and a polished appearance in Hollywood uniforms.

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fellow employees.
• Understanding of OSHA and Your Right to Know Rules pertaining to the MSDS Book and regulations.
• Frequent walking and talking; occasional standing; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; lift up to 100 pounds.
• Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme heat.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains all BOH work areas (kitchens, prep areas, and dish rooms) and equipment; assists with daily cleaning.
• Removes garbage and trash from all operating venues; ensures cans are clean and relined.
• Cleans mechanical devices as needed (dishwashers, ovens, ice cream machines).
• Adheres to safety, cleanliness and sanitation standards per guidelines and ServSafe.

WE LOVE OUR WORK.

• All duties may change or be altered as determined by the Lead Steward on duty.
• Maintains all BOH work areas (kitchens, prep areas, and dish rooms), equipment (stoves, grills, stove hoods, oven hoods, deep fryers and fryer boil‑out, etc.), and assists with the daily cleaning and in accordance with OSHA and ServSafe standards.
• Removes garbage and trash from all operating venues, ensures all trash cans are clean and re‑lined.
• Clean mechanical devices as needed, i.e. dishwashers, combi ovens, ice cream machines and smoker.
• Adheres to safety, proper cleanliness and sanitation standards as set forth by Company and Departmental Guidelines and ServSafe.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions in all kitchen and food storage areas by scrubbing the floors, cleaning surfaces, washing walls, and ceilings tiles as needed.
• Carries or transfers by cart, supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Maintain safe working conditions and practices throughout all guest and service contact areas.
• Must be presentable when reporting to work, wearing Hollywood issued uniforms. Good personal hygiene is required. Initiate a positive guest experience when working in or traveling by any guest contact area by providing a warm welcome and/or greeting, making eye contact, smiling, and bidding a warm farewell and good luck, etc.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
