Job summary

ADM, a leading global nutrition and processing company, seeks a Stevedore C for its Westwego, LA operations. This full-time, hourly role supports loading and unloading cargo on barges and vessels and keeps the rig and equipment in peak condition.

You will assist with training, operate loader/barges safely, and help complete required reports while adapting to shift changes. A TWIC card and strong teamwork are essential to success.

Qualifications

• TWIC card required; ability to follow direction and work under supervision.
• Reading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend and complete documents.
• Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists with loading and unloading cargo on barges and vessels
• General housekeeping and upkeep of the rig, including cleaning and painting
• Insure operational readiness of cranes, barges and mobile equipment
• Assist with training of contractors and rig hands in stevedoring operations
• Assisting mechanics, welders or any other personnel as directed for the completion of tasks in stevedoring operations
• Complete required electronic reports and forms
• Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage or other issues timely
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested
