Qualifications

• Previous stevedore, dock, warehouse, construction, or general labor experience is a plus.
• Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Must be able to follow directions and work well as part of a team.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts and overtime when needed.
• Must pass drug screen.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
• Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo, materials, and equipment
• Assist with vessel and dock operations
• Move and position materials by hand or with basic equipment
• Secure and handle cargo safely
• Assist stevedores and other dock personnel with daily operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and instructions
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned
