Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces seeks a detail-oriented Sterilization Technician to join the Aurora, CO team. You will support dental assistants and doctors by maintaining sterile instruments, preparing sets, and managing supplies in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the team to ensure patient safety and care. This position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Physically capable of transporting supplies and equipment.
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology preferred
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands to maintain patient flow
• Ability to work in a team environment and support colleagues

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and clean all equipment and instruments; ensure cleanliness and sterility.
• Assemble instrument sets based on count sheets; minimize waste.
• Prepare and package single instrument items; differentiate steam vs gas sterilization.
• Store, deliver and manage sterile supplies using aseptic technique.
• Evaluate equipment functioning; report malfunctions and ensure repairs.
• Clean and sanitize treatment rooms after each use.
• Maintain compliance with State, Federal, OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination and cleaning of all equipment and instruments; ensurescleanlinessand sterility of allinstruments
• Accurately assembles instruments sets based on established count sheets; effectively uses materials and supplieswhileminimizingwaste
• Appropriately prepares and packages single instrumentitems,differentiating items requiring steam versus gassterilization
• Stores, delivers, and manages sterile supplies usingaseptictechnique
• Evaluates functioning of equipment; reports malfunction follows through to ensureappropriate repairsare complete and maintenance performed preventing futuredamage
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing treatment rooms after each use
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, andRisaspolicies and practices)
• Any other duties and responsibilities asassigned
