Job summary

Trimedx is seeking a Sterilization Technician II to install, inspect, repair, calibrate, and verify complex sterilization and decontamination equipment with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, inventory awareness, and mentoring other staff while supporting multiple sites.

Requirements include 3+ years of relevant experience and technical/electrical/plumbing knowledge, plus travel as needed. A 2-year technical degree or equivalent certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of sterilization and decontamination equipment.
• AC/DC electrical knowledge and ability to read wiring diagrams.
• Plumbing knowledge and ability to read piping diagrams.
• Troubleshoot electrical motor circuits, steam generators, and pneumatic systems.
• Read and understand sterilization cycles, indicators, and SPD flows.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, maintenance, and operation verification on sterilization equipment.
• Repair and calibrate sterilization and decontamination equipment.
• Inform supervisors of repair status and unusual equipment situations.
• Direct and document activities of subcontractors and outside technicians.
• Maintain field-related expertise through training and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain equipment database and service history; ensure regulatory compliance.
