Job summary

QualDerm Partners is seeking an Instrument Sterilization Technician to ensure all surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for Mohs surgery and dermatology procedures. You will follow established protocols and maintain accurate logs.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment, and a commitment to patient safety. A high school diploma is required; prior sterile processing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in sterile processing or medical office is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization principles.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments according to protocols.
• Operate and monitor autoclaves and sterilization equipment.
• Maintain sterilization logs and documentation.
• Prepare surgical trays for Mohs procedures and dermatologic surgeries.
• Monitor instrument inventory and communicate supply needs.
• Inspect instruments for wear and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection prevention guidelines.
