Job summary

QualDerm Partners is seeking an Instrument Sterilization Technician to ensure all surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient procedures. You will support our Mohs surgery and dermatology teams by maintaining logs, preparing trays, and ensuring equipment safety.

The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of sterilization principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting. Prior sterile processing or dermatology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sterile processing, central sterilization, or medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and sterilization principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments per protocols.
• Operate and monitor autoclaves and sterilization equipment.
• Perform biological, chemical, and mechanical monitoring to ensure standards are met.
• Maintain sterilization logs and documentation.
• Prepare surgical trays for Mohs procedures and dermatologic surgeries.
• Monitor instrument inventory and communicate supply needs.
• Inspect instruments for wear or damage and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Keep sterilization area clean, organized, and compliant with guidelines.
• Follow OSHA, CDC infection prevention and safety guidelines.
• Assist with room turnover and support the clinical team as needed.
