Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking an experienced Sterilization Services Technician to join our team. The role focuses on decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments used throughout the hospital, with meticulous documentation and inventory management for case carts.

The ideal candidate will hold CRCST or CBSPD certification within 12 months of hire, have a high school diploma, and preferably complete a Central Processing program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification within 12 months of hire.
• Completion of a certified Central Processing program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled and contaminated equipment and instruments from operating rooms and units.
• Disassemble items as needed and select cleaning methods.
• Document all cleaning and sterilization processes in tracking software.
• Inspect and assemble instrument sets per recipes and ensure functionality.
• Load sterilizers and perform routine maintenance and biological testing.
