Job summary

Lowell General Hospital seeks an experienced Sterilization Services Technician to join the team in Lowell, MA. This role covers decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments used hospital-wide, with responsibilities spanning receiving, sorting, packaging, and documenting sterile processes.

The position requires a High School diploma and CRCST/CBSPD certification within 12 months of hire, plus preferred completion of a Central Processing program.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification within 12 months of hire (or equivalent).
• Completion of a certified Central Processing program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled, used, and contaminated equipment and instruments from OR, patient care units, and other areas.
• Disassemble items as needed and select appropriate cleaning methods.
• Document all work in instrument tracking software and ensure packaging integrity.
