Job summary

Sotera Health Company is seeking an Operator to monitor sterilization systems at our Salt Lake City facility. You will observe pressure, temperature and humidity, turn valves, adjust controls and ensure products move through the line safely and on time.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, English fluency, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and the willingness to work established shifts. forklift experience and basic computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED as minimum education.
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a sterilization environment preferred.
• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Commitment to established shift schedules.
• Lift at least 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending and lifting.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sterilization system readings: pressure, temperature, humidity.
• Turn valves and adjust controls for safe equipment operation.
• Observe sterilizers and assist with repairs as needed.
• Document and record process readings.
• Report damaged product to Shift/Supervisor.
• Report system problems to Maintenance staff.
• Perform daily/weekly equipment maintenance tasks as needed.
• Store chemicals per procedures and laws.
• Participate in plant safety committees and follow safety rules.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
