Job summary

Sotera Health, at its Sterigenics facility, seeks an Operator to monitor sterilization systems in Haw River, NC. You will observe process conditions, adjust controls, document readings and support maintenance while ensuring safety and quality in every batch.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Monitors system including observing pressure, temperature and relative humidity measurements on charts or computer monitors.
• Turns valves and adjusts controls to ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Observes sterilizers and auxiliary units to detect malfunctions and assists with repairs as needed.
• Documents and records process readings.
• Reports damaged product to Shift Supervisor or Process Supervisor.
• Reports system problems to Maintenance.
• Performs daily/weekly equipment preventative maintenance tasks and may assist Maintenance.
• Stores and removes chemicals per procedures and laws.
• Participates on plant safety committees and follows safety rules and regulations.
• Assists with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
