Job summary

STERIS is seeking a field service technician to support hospital sterilization equipment in the Mississippi region. The role involves deep cleaning and servicing large sterilizer chambers, ensuring safe, sterile instruments for clinicians.

Travel 40–50% overnight, with shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or nights. A High School diploma or GED is required, plus 1 year in a technical trade; associate degree or certifications count toward experience. Valid driver’s license a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in a technical or service trade preferred.
• Willing to travel 40–50% and overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and adjust chemical solutions and monitor cleaning cycles.
• Perform chamber cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Handle, transport, and dispose of chemicals safely.
• Document work and complete reports using company software.
• Coordinate routes and schedules for efficient coverage within territory.
